Taxes going up again?
I see in the news that Williamsport is raising taxes by .35 mills to cover a $500,000 budget deficit. Didn't they raise taxes the same amount last year? Last year's increase was to pay a wrongful death settlement for the death of James Robinson. He was killed by an officer driving 115 MPH responding to a call that had already been answered. Since that was a one-time settlement, shouldn't the taxes have already been raised enough to pay this extra $500,000 they need? Perhaps I'm missing something.....
