Used third party app. Didn't get Thanksgiving badge.

Although the Thanksgiving badge text stated that "...when you complete a walk, run or wheelchair workout of at least 5K (3.1 mi) in the Apple Watch Workout app, or any app that records these workouts into the iPhone Health app.", I did not get the badge when I used Strava and Nike+ for a 3.5 mile run. It was properly recorded in the Activity app and Health app.

I only got the badge when I did a 3.1 mile walk by using the Watch's Workout app (Outdoor Walk). YMMV.

I did a 3.1 mile run using the apple workout app but it never awarded me the badge.

Yeah, this also happened to me. I set it to 3.10 miles and I hope it isn't something dumb like 3.11 would have worked.

Edit: Just finished yet another 5K, this time 3.33mi and got the achievement immediately. C'est la vie 🙃

I am aware of that, but the badge description specifically said 3.1mi

I did 3.33 w/ the Apple Watch tracking it.

I did a 3.8 mile walk using Apple Watch's Workout app, and have not received the badge. It shows up under Workouts and everything on my phone. It must be a bug.

Same, 3.32 using Nike Run Club and no achievement.

Same here. Did 3.15 in Nike Run on the Apple Watch. Shows in the activity but no badge.

Anyone get theirs yet? Ran an annual Thanksgiving 5k logged in Strava at 3.19 this morning and no badge yet.

Would you have gone for that 3.1 mile outdoor walk regardless or did you do it for the sole purpose of getting the 5k badge? I'm wondering how many people in your situation will be making Move Goal PRs because of this glitch.

The challenge appeared at a good time for me to give it a go. I really wanted the badge but I have my first 5k under my belt regardless (I still got the badge though).

I did 4 miles using ismoothrun. Run shows in the activities app, but no badge earned.

Did a 3.7 mile run with Strava, shows up in Health app as an activity but was not awarded the badge.

Me too. Did 4.5 miles using MotiFIT and it shows up in both the activities and health apps but no badge or sticker. Must be a bug. :(

Same for me, 5k run using just the Apple Watch outdoor run, still no badge.

This is really puzzling. Did you do exactly 3.1? Or slightly more? When I got my badge with the Workout app, I made sure I did at least 3.2 miles.

I did a 5k run, Apple support said it's a known issue and we will get it. Said we can un pair the watch and reset it up or just wait.

Un pairing and re-pairing from a backup doesn't do it. Do they mean set it up as a new device?

I set mine up from a backup and it worked perfect. I unpaired, hard restart on the watch then repaired and set up from a back up. Took a few minutes but all is good now. Did you do the hard restart?
