There's a lot of interesting reading out there on the state of the 40 hour work week, work and labour culture, and why it has remained completely unchanged in spite of the explosion of individual productivity in the last 40 years and the rise of bullshit jobs. It's a really interesting subject imo, I personally hope to be able to achieve a 30-35 hour work week some day.
