Pavel Bure Review

Due to u/CurtWyrz 's new review megathread and all the fun stuff coming with that I decided to review a few guys on my squad that haven't really been reviewed in depth (atleast I couldn't find anything), starting off with one of my favorite cards and the 1RW of my heart, Legend Pavel Bure (93). Doing the good old 0-10.

Line: Shanahan - Linden - Bure (Full Team)

Synergies: OJ, S, TW, B, 1T

Stats: 215gp 97+97=194, 32PIM, +162

SKATING 10/10

We all know this is why Bure is one of the most desired legends every year with 95 acceleration and 95 speed and man it won't let you down. He's the kind of guy to make a breakaway out of pretty much any situation. I mean I don't know what more I can say. If you've got Speedsters activated it gives him a touch more speed, but after I got TW on too I honestly couldn't tell a difference and it's not humanly possible to skate faster than that. Only guy faster than him interestingly enough is my TOTW 89 MacKinnon with TW activated.

SHOOTING 9.5/10

His wrister is on par with his skating with 95 WSA and 95 WSP. The thing I see myself doing the most is come down the right side with that mad speed and then cut a little to the left and just rip cheese and it finds the back of the net like it's NHL 15, but what has surprised me the most is his one timer. Even though his SSA and SSP are lower than his wristers - both at 91 - he scores a damn good amount of goals on one-timers, not just regular slap shots but one-timers. I think it has something to do with his agility and skating that even though the pass I'm giving him is a little off, he can quickly adjust himself into taking the shot and it's in the back of the net 9 out of 10 times. Only reason why his shot won't get a full 10 is that his slap shot when not doing it off the pass isn't really that effective, don't think I've ever scored like that.

HANDS 10/10

This was to be expected with his 95 deking, puck control and hand-eye. Paired with his speed this is one of the main reason for all the breakaways he gets and all the breakaway goals he scores. Patrick Kane type stuff.

PHYSICAL AND DEFENSE 4/10

This just is how it goes. When somebody is as of an offensive juggernaut as Bure is, he's lacking here. At 5'10 (178cm) and 187lbs (85kg) he gets absolutely rocked if you do the wrong deke at the wrong time, he'll lose the puck in a tiny nudge, tho he's very good at trying to recover it but often doesn't make up for losing it in the first place. In defense he is non-existent. Can poke check averagely but when it comes to net-battles or anything physical he doesn't stand a chance. I suppose his discipline is okay but I think it has mostly to do with how you play, most PIM in my team is on MacInnis with 42 in 291 games.

Pardon all the possible mistakes with punctuation etc, not a native speaker but would love to hear feedback. If this gets a good response I'll definitely do more and more than likely with clips since I have a HD PVR just gathering dust on my desk. Cheers.
