Preparing a new laptop for return.
My wife recently bought me an early Christmas present during Black Friday online without consulting me.
Unfortunately at the risk of crushing her feelings, the new laptop is in fact inferior to my current set up.
It was delivered today and I am aware I have 14 days to return it under Consumer Contract Regulations within the UK.
I foolishly thought I had better turn it on to ensure that it was working; to make sure any faults would not be blamed on me, but it seems that some companies refuse to accept returns on any computer equipment which has been "used".
My question is. If I factory reset will it return it to an out of the box condition or will it be missing all that lovely bloatwear etc and therefore be noticeable?
As far as use is concerned, literally it has just been turned on, profile set up and dxdiag etc checked.
Laptop itself is a Medion Erazer P6661. OS: Windows 10 Other specs arn't really relevant i suppose.
Any help would be much appreciated. (worryingly after going into sleep mode while I type this on another laptop it has "encountered an unexpected error" and been forced to shut down.....)

Factory reset will do just that....restore everything to how the factory sent it out, bloatware and all.
Thanks, so a factory reset should allow me to return it as if it had not been turned on...
Guess that should take the worry out of the return, now to worry about the wife's feelings!
