Review

Skating: 7/10

Bergeron is not the fastest guy on the ice, I found that he is usually pretty easily outskated by a majority of the opposing players. The thing I did find with his skating however is he is has decent agility in his movments, making it easier for him turn more precisely and quickly. He also has decent endurance which means, although he may not be the quickest, his is consistent in his ability to skate. Overall though, this is not the card you want if you are looking for a player in the speed department.

Shot: 8.3/10

Bergeron is pretty good at shooting the puck and I was pleasantly surprised. He has a pretty good wrist shot but an even better slap shot. When it comes to wrist shots, the shots that he takes aren't necessarily the hardest, but they are quite accurate and I found him at least hitting the net about 85% of the time. When it comes to his slapshot I believe this is where he shines as a goal scorer. A majority of the goals I got with him were from the slapshot. One timers and basic slapshots seem pretty easy for him and I took them every chance I could get. The accuracy of the shots were almost always hitting the net, with a handful of times where they missed. Overall, I would say Bergeron has a pretty good shot, but nothing to write home about.

Physicality: 6/10

Bergeron had decent physicality but nothing too special. At 6"1 and 195lbs Bergeron has a decent size. I was often able to lay out some pretty good hits if I lined him up with an opposing player correctly, but other than that he didn't really shine in this area. Pushing players off the puck without any momentum wasn't really something Bergeron did too well.

Team Play: 9/10

This is one of the areas where I believe Bergeron really shined. We will start off with Faceoffs. Wow, with 96 faceoff rating Bergeron is easily the best player I have used at the dot. I was able to win at least 90% of faceoffs with him and it is truly my favourite feature about this card. Another area in team play where Bergeron shines is his ability to move the puck. Basic passes and saucer passes were both performed with ease. His breakout passes were great which is what led to him racking up so many assists. Overall this is an area where Beregeron is great, a true playmaker and an amazing faceoff guy.

Defense: 9.4/10

This is Bergeron's true power area. His defensive abilities beat that of all my defensemen put together. Bergeron's poke check is lethal, it's accuaracy and strength are the strongest I have seen with the cards I have used in the game thus far. Also, his defensive positioning was extremely good. He always seemed to be in the right position to intercept a pass, tie up a player in front of the net, or stick left the opponent in my zone. Overall I was extremely pleased with Beregeron's defensive ability and don't really have anything negative to say in this regard.

Conclusion

Looking for a speedy player who can snipe top shelf every time? Bergeron is probably not the card you want.

Looking for a pure playmaker who will win almost every faceoff and has insane defensive capabilities? Get this card! (or any other version of him will work!)

If you have any feedback please leave it below, and let me know if you want to see any other reviews of the players on my team. Thanks!
