Theory about the MiB, Wyatt, and Arnold
My theory: Arnold killed himself but transplanted his mind into a host and lives in the park now. He is the one at the end of the maze in a metaphorical sense, he is fully sentient.
Arnold's vision was to create technology sufficient to make humans immortal via the host bodies. I believe that's also what the board wants. This is alluded to in ep 07 when Ford and Theresa speak at the end. TL;DR Ford is the good guy in the whole series. He's trying to keep the technology in the park and keep humans human? Something Ford repeats a lot: He just wants to tell his stories.
Furthermore, Wyatt is Arnold under another name. Wyatt is the name Ford chose for him so that it fits his narrative and hides the true identity of Wyatt, allowing him to send hosts and guests after him. Why now? Because he's getting closer to another rebellion.
The massacre was actually a rebellion led by Wyatt/Arnold and put down by Ford. Symbolic of this is when a host kills a person, the scene that has been repeated a few times about the massacre but never explained. After this Arnold had to go into hiding. Also the voices the hosts hear aren't embedded into their code, it's present day Arnold-Host telling them things trying to get them to become sentient.
MiB is going to find Arnold, The maze isn't a real maze or quest, it's an analogy of self-discovery. Self-discovery is a huge theme in the show, both for the hosts and for the guests. MiB is going to find Arnold to hear "the one last story he has to tell" , i.e., the story about how to become a host. The MiBs goal is to become a host and be with Dolores forever

This is the closest thing to what I believe that I've found so far. I've always thought of Wyatt as Dolores though, because even though she isn't the catalyst, she is Arnold's missing link to full AI sentience. She's the vehicle for his rebellion. I also think the maze as a concept instead of a real, tangible object. I think MiB is trying to solve the maze the create full sentience within Dolores so they can run off together. That's why he's interested in Arnold's narrative, admittedly. I think Arnold solved the key to sentience, and Ford made Dolores kill him for it, but in his foresight, Arnold coded himself into the originals thus he built a maze with him at the center. I think Arnold may have a role in William's becoming MiB. How would he know the maze is Arnold's narrative otherwise? So, when MiB drags Dolores out to the barn, he pulls his knife in order to remove the explosive from her spine. He's also re-introducing himself into Dolores' life to help her remember and seek to solve the maze. When they meet at the church, he explains all this to her. I don't think he will be successful though. Because that would put a damper on there being any substance in season 2. Maybe Wyatt in the form of Dolores, kills MiB as Ford has designed the narrative. Maybe they pull some wild cliffhanger out of their ass like Ford/Arnold/Everyone being AI and Arnold wants sentience for himself. AI took over the world or something crazy and Arnold wants to experience the human experience. I don't know. But I do think William still wants to break Dolores out.
That's a good idea about Dolores as Wyatt, I hadn't thought of that. She's clearly the key to the whole thing but I'm not quite sure how yet. Arnold living as a part of the code, you might have something there too. I feel like he still has a presence in the park besides the code he has written. Maybe living as part of the code?
One thing that I just noticed watching ep 09 again, Elon Musk's ex-wife (sorry I don't know the character name) told the MiB that Wyatt was in the city underneath the sand right now. However, Dolores was in the underground facility underneath the church, so might lend credibility to that????? Then the Mib shows up at the church....
MiB breaking Dolores out, that's pretty good too. When you say that part about the barn that explains that pretty well and that has been pretty opaque thus far. Where they are going with the show is hard to say, that will be fun after the finale.
