Mov McDavid Review

Movember McDavid is a card I wanted the second I saw it. Never have done a review before but thought I'd share the greatness of this guy. Love his base card so a Movember was solid for me. I am currently in Div. 1 go about 7-3 average in my seasons. I have Mov McJesus on the right wing with Mov Giroux at center and base Voracek on the left. Stat line: 25 gp - 15 goals 17 assists All player synergies active, WW and S, with TT team synergy.

Skating: 9/10

This guy flys. Right when my defender gets the puck McNasty is flying up the right side of the ice and catches every pass thrown at him. Once he reaches full speed not one player has beaten him. He has a very long reach so after a full speed boost up the side boards he can easily cut in or beat the defender by gliding the rest of the way. For a player with his size the agility is unbelievable. One thing that can be better is acceleration. I don’t feel the acceleration is the (94) his card says, but the size probably is the issue.

Shooting: 9/10

Snipe city. This guy snips titties almost every game. With WW, his WSP and WSA is 95. It feels like a 95. The best shot I have used in this game so far. The wrister is fast and doesn’t require a full wind up. Does a goalie have a chance of stopping a 1T from this guy? No. None. Forget about it. Bar down all day and night. Only reason it is not 10/10 is because I gotta leave room for ovi when he maxes out his wrister.

Hands: 10/10

Ever get aroused while playing this game? No? Well try making a couple windmill or stride dekes with McMotherFucker and you will. Every single deke and move is so smooth I’m sure it makes my opponents physically ill. Deking (96) with puck control (93) and hand eye (94), at 6-2 and with his speed it’s not fair. I can skate straight at a defender and make a deke right around him with ease. Never had a player with nicer hands. If he is in front of the net immediately rip a shot to him, he will get a piece of it 3 out of 4 times. He can catch every pass coming his way and make some of the better saucer passes I’ve seen. Most of his assists are by wind milling around a defender and tossing a saucer pass backdoor for Voracek or Giroux to shovel it home. Back hand passes are no problem. There really have been no issues with his hands at all. Silky smooth. Best hands in the game.

Checking: 7/10

You aren’t getting McBiscuits to hit guys. You are getting him to perform acts of god on the ice. He isn’t going to knock everyone off the puck but get enough speed and he can make an opponent forget how to skate. He is strong enough on the puck but the other way around I wouldn’t count on him to destroy players. All in all the body checking rating of (78) is exactly what you are getting.

Defense: 8.5/10

He is usually in the right position. His poke check is nice but nothing to write home about. Not really much to say here because I don’t find that my wingers do much defensively besides block shots and poke the puck away from the forwards at the top of the circle or when someone is dicking around with the puck on the blue line. I have gotten more breakaways with McLittyTitty from poking the defender on the point than any player I have used but I would account most of that to the reach and speed than his defensive skills.

Overall: 9/10

Definitely best player I have used in this game. You always have a chance to score when the puck is on this sneaky mf stick. Definitely worth whatever he is selling for. He’s already had three upgrades and you know EA will give him an upgrade as often as they can because he is a fan favorite. He is also killing it in the NHL, currently at 34 points, five more than the next player. So McDAVID will be getting more upgrades no doubt.

TL;DR Get Mov McDavid asap at any costs necessary.
