Amazon just made my Christmas shopping a heck of a lot easier.

Don't tell us that. Jeez, you are supposed to act like you will be giving the gift of Stax like a generous Oil Baron.

I didn't realize they were that costly in Canada. They were selling for around $26 a week ago in the US.

With the exchange rate and the low Canadian dollar it works out to be about the same.

The SportaPro uses the exact same drivers as the PortaPro and its regular price is $39. And the headband doesn't catch your hair. The $65 CAD MSRP on the PortaPro is just milking those who don't know any better.

lol yeah. They sound good, but $65 CAD is a bit too much for them.

Have you tried the SportaPros? I've heard before that they have the same drivers, but I've wondered if they sound exactly the same. Do they? Why are the PPs more popular at the higher price with the hair problem?

They retail for 50 euros where i live .

Thats what i payed for them since shipping from the states to europe is very , very expensive.

Still dont regret my purchase at all. Great headphones.

These are pretty damn great. Don't expect the world and know that they are very open and leak a ton, but they are quite satisfying to listen to.

Legitimately just picked these up for $26 last week, and I'm surprised as hell at how good they sound behind an amp. They have a pretty good balance on the mids / lows (and are actually surprisingly bass heavy with very little distortion), but depending on the music can tend to sound empty on the highs whereas my MDR-V6's are just way too bright in the highs, but have similar bass. The clarity is pretty good for the price range and vocals typically come out pretty good, but if you listen to a decent pair of cans and come back to these ones you'll think you're listening to your music through a wet sponge. But I'm comparing these to a pair of DT-770s and a pair of ATH-M50x's.
