POTG Forbort Review

Long time Redditor here. Sometimes I contribute to this community. This will be my first Review! Be kind!

I picked up POTG Forbort on a whim a long time ago. I was one CG away from activating it and I viewed him as an inexpensive option on the D line to get it activated. But much to my surprise, he has played great for me, even pre-gold card release.

Stats

GP: 69 G: 4 A: 15 PIM: 24 +/-: +32

SKATING 7/10

Lets be honest. He isnt Karlsson out there. He does have some pep to his step with his 87 rated skating. Dont expect him to out skate most forwards in the game though.

SHOOTING 6/10

He misses the barn. A lot. 81 rated shooting might be a bit generous for him. His shots have a TON of power with a rating of 90. But everything else in the category is just awful and it shows on the ice. POWER PLAY TIME NOT RECOMMENDED

HANDS 4/10

Bricks. His hands are literally bricks. Dont try any sweet dekes with him. He is simply a rush up the ice, pass, and/or shoot, when he has the puck. Nothing about this card says offensive powerhouse but that is not why you get this guy.

PHYSICAL 9/10

This is why you get Forbort. He lays the damn hammer. If you like physical players and consistently make contact when checking, this is your guy. On my third line he is a wrecking crew with his 92 rated checking. Wouldnt recommend him for PK time cause of his awful puck skills.

DEFENSE 7.5/10

Defense is just alright. Not great. Not awful. Just alright. A pretty good third liner for most teams even in D1. His rating of 85 is about as spot on as any of his stats are.

Conclusion: All in all he has been a very steady addition to my team even before he got his Gold upgrade. Defense is serviceable. His checking though is what won me over. You want to kill players? This is your guy.
