"We" insinuates a participant who contributes to the effort. Maybe WE as fans should just enjoy what we can and not be negative about a possible lack luster season.
I think "We" implies a bond between fan and his team. It's not meant to be taken literally, and I think you would agree that you use the term "we" in connection to the blazers as well.
I agree WE being fans yes. Not WE as a singular entity. We don't practice everyday, we either sit on the couch, listen to the radio, or drive to the game and base our opinions based on what we see, not what we do.
Maybe I'm missing your point then
Either way I shall continue to watch haha
