You don't have to craft a turret and use it if you make a friend. 

You'll never have friend with this feature. I mean in the game, you will ever play solo

Put the turret in a triengle. Put on 3 double doors. when the last person logs off, they run at the doors naked, open them, and if they get killed by the turret. So what. Naked. problem solved

This would not be that useful for a clan, because you risk killing your own guys but as a solo player you could place one up on the rock to watch your back while you mine, pick it up when you are done and move on. Place a few of them and you might even be able to raid solo. 

An idea to help solo players. A deployable turret that attacks everyone except the owner.
