TOTW/MOV Tyler Seguin Review!

TOTW 91 OVR Tyler Seguin

Here You can find this cards stats and synergies.

Seguin plays on the third line with MOV Kessel and MOV Mcdavid and no other line and you will see why later on in the post.

Active Synergies include 1T,PP,B,CG,TW

Skating 9/10 For perspective i rate HERO Sullivan and MOV Duchene a 10/10 on skating

Seguin is a very quick and agile player. Now Seguin is going to get a little gassed faster than most players but for me it was not that big of a difference, especially when Kessel and Mcdavid are his line mates and are also super quick. His Acceleration is also very good, he can get moving extremely quick and starts and stops very quickly. Seguin is a relatively bigger guy being 6’1 and 200lbs can hold his own, with 91 Balance and 89 Strength he does not get pushed off the puck a lot.

Shooting 10/10 For perspective i rate HERO Sullivan and HERO Shanahan a 10/10 on shooting

Seguin has a very quick and accurate wrist shot, he has 95 in WSA and WSP (Sullivan has 96 WSA and 91 WSP). Seguin is a guy i trust coming in on a 2 on 1 that i can shoot short side and score 9/10 times. For slapshots i have not taken a lot with Seguin because of his Incredible wrist shot but with stats like 93 SSA and 92 SSP i can safely assume they are deadly!

Hands 10/10 Fore perspective i rate Halloween Roy and MOV Kessel a 10/10 in the Hands Category

Seguin is a playmaker, He has an extremely accurate pass and with PP activated it just amplifies his passing prowess. Seguin can also dance with the puck, he can tip toe through defenders and completely make you look silly on defense but that's what you expect with 95 Dekeing. Having him on the breakaway and trying to get that cheesy backhand-forehand-backhand goal comes with ease, also i have started doing toe drags really close to the net with him on breakaways because he covers so much ice with his dekes resulting in easy goals.

Checking 5/10 For perspective i rate HERO Linden and HERO Shanahan 10/10 in Hitting

Seguin can not hit, plain and simple he can't. I have tried countless times to hit people and he just can not hit them. Of course he can hit the smaller players, like Sullivan and Gaudreau but thats about it. This clip summarizes Seguin trying to hit people and usually ends up getting hit himself.

Defense 7/10 For perspective i rate HERO Linden and HERO Shanahan 10/10 on Defense

Seguin has 89 Def Awareness which is fine but i have other players who i would play on a penalty kill, but Seguin is a decent player to let him do his thing in the defensive zone. I can trust him getting back and splitting up those odd man rushes and help the defense clear the zone if im in trouble. I would use him on the Penalty Kill if i had room but he is not my first choice ATM.

Game Stats 22 games played - 17 Points - 10 Goals - 7 Assists

All games were played in Division 1

TL;DR: Seguin is a great card, he is very offensive minded and will score a lot. He also is not a liability on Defense and can play defense quite well. Don't try and hit with him unless it's a smaller guy.
