Review of Johnny Bucyk

Other

I'm sure there's a ton of reviews already for this guy but I'm going to start writing up some reviews of the players on my team I'm liking. I don't have the stats in front of me as I'm at work, but I may add them in later.

Currently playing on second line with Cam Neely on the left and Ryan Kesler centering. Previous played with Seguin and Sullivan. Plays PP1 and Pk1. Synergies active are CG 1T TT OJ

Skating 8.5/10:

I don't really feel that he's all that fast, once he gets going he's got some speed but I feel like he's trying to accelerate through sludge. On the other hand he is agile as all hell. Go into that glide and this guy can make some super tight precise cuts, and with his strength he's very strong on the puck. Seems to be a faster backskater, great on pushing forcheck on the PK and getting back in time to interfere in the defensive zone.

Offense 9/10

Dudes hands are smooth as a baby's backside smeared in butter. As I said before he can cut on a time and just flipping the stick around you can dance around poke checking fools. If they try to hit he's strong enough to have them bounce off like the insects they are. Passes are always tape to tape, even through traffic. Wrister from the slot, like any other player, is 90% goal. At times he's inaccurate as all hell though. I don't slap shoot much so I can't review that. He's also really smart AI. In good positions for deflections and tip ins and to smash home a rebound. Definitely his best category.

Defense 8.5/10

He's usually in a good position, and pretty physical as well. Can separate puck from body and really lay the boom of your opponent doesn't keep their head up. Good stick for poke checking. Doesn't block as many shots as I'd like. His agility and strength make him very strong in the defensive zone, especially on the PK.

Very solid all around player, and for the cost very worth it. Good synergies to boot. Once the commons come back down, definitely a solid investment and he was my first Hero I played with.

Any tips for next time are appreciated!!
