Hue dimmer switch over current light switch.

I have been replacing the light switches in my house with Hue dimmer switches. I have been removing said switches and capping the wires then cutting some metal to cover the gang box and provide me with a place to screw in the hue dimmer switch faceplate. It looks and works great and I don't have to worry about my SO turning off the power anymore. My problem is, there has to be a more elegant way to do this. I called the people at http://www.kyleswitchplates.com but they told me I was the first person to ask for a solution to the hue dimmer switch problem. Many if more of us asked then we might get a proper product for those of us attempting the same thing as me.
