Skating 10/10 For perspective i rate HERO Sullivan and MOV Duchene a 10/10 on skating

Roy is so freaking fast (95 speed, 98 with TW). Roy has 95 Acceleration making him a threat for getting that speed fast and if he forces you to turn the puck over in the neutral zone you will NOT catch him. Roy is short, very short and this was a big turnoff for me when looking into his card because i thought he would get pushed off the puck and fall over but he doesn’t. He has 92 Balance and 91 Strength and it shows, he can use his body to protect the puck like some of the best!

Shooting 10/10 For perspective i rate HERO Sullivan and HERO Shanahan a 10/10 on shooting

Roy is such a threat here and this is why i have him on powerplays and penalty kills because he can shoot the puck exactly like Sullivan and Shanahan. Just like Seguin i trust this guy taking shots from anywhere because its such a great shot! I have started to go for hash mark one timers and having him there is amazing because his slapshot is lethal! Especially with Long Range Bombers activated he can really Clap that puck!

Hands 10/10 For perspective i rate TOTW 91 Seguin and MOV Kessel a 10/10 in the Hands Category

Roy and Seguin are identical here, Roy never misses passes, This is to be expected when he has 102 passing with synergies activated and makes him, Halloween Booth and Hero Shanahan a deadly line. When i first had this line i expected Shahan to do all the scoring but Roy is the leading scorer on that line and is leading in assists. He can deke his way out of any situation with his 95 deking and with his 95 puck control he never loses it. He covers so much ground when he dangles identical to Seguin in this part.

Checking 8/10 For perspective i rate HERO Linden and HERO Shanahan 10/10 in Hitting

I would have rated him a 10/10 if he had a little more body to throw with his hits. Roy is a very small guy but with 90 body checking and 90 aggression he will knock you off the puck and it doesn't matter who you are. He does not cripple people with his hits and it's just because he's small. But knocks you off the puck long enough for him to get it from you.

Defense 10/10 For perspective i rate HERO Linden and HERO Shanahan 10/10 on Defense

Roy having 92 Def. Awareness is a very good penalty killer, he has 90 discipline and rarely takes penalties when i let the AI control him he has 11 penalty minutes in 65 games. He has 89 shot blocking and blocks the shots and gets back up and will block another. He has 94 stick checking and will take the puck away from you whenever you are facing him. With 90 faceoffs i can rely on him to win those defensive faceoffs most of the time (I kinda suck at faceoffs).

TL;DR: Roy is one of my favorite cards and one of the best cards i have ever used, he can score, he can pass and he is such a great defensive zone player. If you have the coinage and are looking for an elite player i recommend him.
