TOTW Calvin De Haan Review

Hello Reddit, I got another review for you, this time its a TOTW Calvin De Haan. I'm going to do this one because nobody probably did this one. At the end, it says if I liked him or not. Here we go:

He's currently on my third defensive pairing with Justin Faulk.

Defense: 6.5/10 De Haan is more of an offensive-minded defenseman in this game, and isn't the biggest nor heaviest fella out there either, so his ability to block shots isn't there to me, even with the SB synergy activated. I don't use him as a defensive defenseman though, he's more used to help the attack. This is why he earns this rating on defense. Also, he has the worst plus/minus on my team. In 30 games, he's -14. Make sure you have a good goalie in nets, it could help

Skating: 8/10 He's a speedy little d-man, which can help more offensive minded players. He can carry the puck from bottom to top of the ice. Even though he has a goal in 30 games, he can easily skate all the way to the opponent goalie, creating chanches for one timers.

Deking and Agility: 8.25/10 I love his dekes. This is a type of defenseman that I like to use to rush up the ice because he can start an attack and get one or two guys out of the way before doing that with some dekes. This is probably his best quality. Use it to your advantage.

Bodychecking: 4/10 I just cannot hit with De Haan, I just hate it. It makes him way more hard to use him, because he can get hit down easily. Do not expect him to hit. Pair him up with a tank like Dustin Byfuglien, it could solidify that duo.

Shooting: 6.5/10 He has one goal in 30 games. That explains alot already. The worst part is that he was on my PP. He couldn't even rack up a goal. His wrist shot isn't very effective in my opinion and his slapshot gets casually to the net. But the way to score with him is to deke or on a breakaway.

Honorable mention: Passing: De Haan can start the offense for a team. He has only 8 assists in 30 games, but he always gets that 4 or 5th assist.

To sum it up, I do not enjoy my experience playing with Calvin De Haan. I was excited to buy him, but he wnt way under my expectations. I have him for his 2 SB synergy that I complete with Giordano and the SB gold coach. It might surprise you that I wrote mostly a negative review, and I do not recommend him

I admire Calvin De Haan in real life, I don't know what EA did but it ruined his card
