Mov Kessel Review
Hi guys, day 2 of team review will be about Mov Kessel. So far through 41 games, hes got 25 goals and 14 assists on the second line with mov thornton and mov mcdavid, and second pp unit.
I replaced Konecny with Mov Kessel and have not looked back. Kessel has been one of the most dominant goal scorers ive had the pleasure of using. With 92's in SSA, WSA, WSP and OA, he is a very great goal scorer, combined with amazing speed at 95 makes him lethal. Before the review even starts, I think he is one of the best deals out there (I bought him for like, 340k a week ago) and will only improve being on sadly, one of the best teams in hockey and incoming milestones.
Skating: 10/10
If I could give him more here, I would. He is incredibly fast with 92 acc and 94 agi, but what I really love about his skating is his balance. Dont get me wrong; I'm not saying he's Lindros or anything, but I've seen Kessel take some hits that would knock over the majority of players and he just bounces away. He has pretty good strength at 86 and his balance of 86 as well makes him a pretty strong skater.
Shot: 10/10
Kessel has an outstanding shot. Those high stats in wrist and slapshot accuracy and power do not lie. Kessel has a cannon, and he scores from anywhere i shoot with him. I can come off the opposite wing and clap it far side, come in short side and his wrister will be placed perfectly, get in close and deke the goalie with ease or of course, set up that one timer and theres just nothing they can do. The only team synergy i have active is B, so combine that with his active OJ and that gives him an outstanding 97 SSA, 99 SSP. Thats just about the same as Movi's slapper stats. Hard to miss with those stats. And as I mentioned earlier with his skating skill, his size allows him to get into excellent sniping position.
Hands 10/10
Ok, sorry. I really hate reviews that give 10/10 for every stat possible, but this is the last one. Kessels size and speed combined with outlandish puck skills makes him nasty. He has 95 deking, hand eye and 93 puck control. Those are the numbers of a man who can dangle. Heres just one example of the trust I can put into him for alot of players, I'd be to scared to attempt that and lose the puck, so with Kessel, I can be more adventurous. He very rarely will let a deke get away from him and performs them with ease, which is typically a must in my book.
Defense: 8/10
See, nobodys perfect. For a forward, hes as good as I need him to be. Hes out there to score and be able to get back, and he does just that. But Kessel also has a little bulk to him, so he can lay down an ok hit with 82 checking. His forecheck also isnt to bad. Watch as he gets the puck from this guy trying to do something I still don't really get Doing stuff like that is all I can ask from a guy who I put out to score goals.
Misc: From what I see, his syns don't seem awful. Offensive Juggernaut gives a bonus to his strengths, 1T increases his hand eye and passing which could help him even more, and TT give him even more passing OA and poise. Right now I only see him around 390k, which I consider "fair", but definitely think he could be around 50k less. He should be a 91 by the end of the season minimum and should be considered a decent threat for TOTW/POTG performances.
Overall, totally recommended. Kessel is a fantastic card every year, he's a stanley cup champion, and he's cute as a button
Thanks for reading guys. If you enjoyed, please let me know, and let me know as well if you would like to hear about anyone on my team specifically.
