89 TOTW Steen review

Hey, I got another review for you guys today, and its the 89 TOTW Alex Steen. I snagged him for 25k when he was out, and I'll prove to you why I feel that was a steal deal.

Name: Alex Steen Number: 20 Rating: 89 Base card rating: 87 Does he have a MOV? Yes Position: LW Synergies: T, IS

He currently plays on my second line with Wheeler on RW and Backstrom at C.

Shooting: 8.5/10 Steen has a great shot. He's on my first line powerplay and gets tons of goals. He rarely misses one timers coming his way, but his best shot is slapshot. Aim for the opposite bottom corner, it never misses. Even his wrist shot is great. He has at least four 2 goal games that I recall. He's also always well placed for rebounds. Whats not to like about this?

Bodychecking: 7/10 Steen is an average hitter. He's not a well known hitter, but he can still do something. I hit sometimes with him, but not that much. Its not something I pay much attention too in his case

Skating: 8/10 I like his speed, he's able to overskate a great majority of defensemen. His speed is 89 and acceleration is 90, so the kid can skate. He put himself alot on breakaways, and when he does, its deadly. He also comes back to help his defensemen alot, which lets you use them more to help the offense. I can really adjust with his speed, and its not a problem for me.

Defense: 8/10 Steen comes and helps his defensemen alot, and when the time is good. I like to use my defensemen to apply pressure on offense, and its a plus for me to see my players come back to help on defense. His synergies are defensive. They aren't activated for me, but if so, your opponent must not have a good him trying to get in your zone. He can also block shots. That stat is 86, but I have SB activated for my team and it helps. To sum this category, he is good on defense and really helps team that have both scoring and defense problems.

Stick handling and agility: 8.25/10 Steen can really "slice and dice" his way through opponents. Like mentioned previously, Alex is great to create breakaways and when this occurs, its deadly ☠️. I have him on my shootout lineup because he can score the important goals.

Other honorable stat: One-timers: he rarely misses them, so look for him on the ice

To sum it up, Steen is a key piece to my team and I really enjoyed my experience with him. Buy him as soon as possible before his price gets crazy. Hope this review helped you.

Have a good day
