Chromecast URL blacklists?

I have recently been using an app for streaming content on iOS and casting to a chromecast, however in the past couple of days I have been unable to cast this content. Once I have selected the content I want to cast the chromecast displays a loading icon but immediately stops. This implies that the URL I was streaming from has been added to a blacklist and is now being denied access, however I can't find anything online about a potential blacklist for chromecast content? The content still loads fine within the app itself, it will just no longer cast.
