APC Symmetra LX 16000 Power Module failure hot swap experience

Does anyone have any experience with hot swapping power modules on an LX? All of the APC info on the web and forums says that they are hot swap capable, however phone support say in order to replace i need shut down completely. I would REALLY prefer not to take down the whole server room in order to replace the module.

With my current load on the APC, I would be able to replace the faulty module without over loading the other 4 power modules. I'm only at about 9 kVA load out of 16 kVA so removing one module would bring me down to 12.8 kVA or 70% load
