TAILS Greeter / Login ISSUE

I have TAILS v2.9.1 - everything boots normally - at the Greeter screen I click on persistence (as usual) type in the pass phrase - and from here it attempts to verify but does nothing but loop back to the Greeter.

Any suggestions?
