[EXPANSION] Secret Meeting in Nairobi
The Sultan slowly walked up to President Odongo’s desk, flanked by two burly Arabian bodyguards. He put his arms on the chair in front of the desk and let a few seconds pass before speaking.
“Hello Timmy, I come to you with a... request. You see those two provinces, the Coast province and North Eastern provinces.” The Sultan said as he motioned towards the large map on the office wall. “Those provinces share little with the rest of EAF, they are predominantly Muslim, and have their own national identities, the North Eastern province has always really been part of the greater Somali nation, and the Coast province has faced economic discrimination from your government. I come asking you to hold a referendum in these places to see if they wish join the UEF and unite with their fellow Muslims”
“Do you think me stupid, Sultan? Those places are part of the EAF and will remain that way”
“I thought you would say that, so I found something that would change your mind. Some official government documents showing your involvement as a planer in the 2007–08 Kenyan crisis. We could release this to the world, or you could work with us.
“There's no evidence of my actions in the crisis, you're bluffing.“
“Well let's see if the Hague would like a looksie at the papers.” Said the Sultan as held up his phone with his thumb hovering over the send button.
“Wait! I'll help, but I want some sort of compensation for losing the land.”
“Of course, the EAF will get six billion in cash and guaranteed protection by us against the WAF, DRC, France, and other imperialists. We will even train your troops, and given you weapons. Not to mention we will be funding infrastructure projects to help modernize East Africa.”
“Hm, what about me, personally.”
“$100 million, a yacht and a penthouse with some fine Arab woman in Dubai. This should hopefully help make the choice even clearer”
“It's not the end of the world if the EAF loses some provinces I guess, and we could use someone to help us fight in Tanwandi.”
“Glad I have you convinced, now I must be on my Mr. President.”
The Sultan turned around as his guards followed him out the door.
