Input lag, PC to TV. I've tried everything, this is my last hope.

Machine: MSI GL72-62F TV: VIZIO E-series e50-e3 Cable: HDMI and/or 4k HDMI

So I have a mid range gaming laptop (desktop doesn't work with my lifestyle) and I'm experiencing severe input lag when connecting to my new Vizio 4k e-series.

I'll start by saying my PS4 has zero input lag on the VIZIO, and my MSI had zero input lag when connecting to my old Samsung 1080p. I'm experiencing zero drop in performance on my laptop when connected, and not seeing any lag on my laptop when both displays are active. This lag occurs in-game, and simply while navigating Windows. The lag seems unaffected by the controller being wired or wireless.

What I've tried:

• Gaming mode on TV and turning off any post-processing.
• Switching to a 4k HDMI
• Updating Nvidia drivers.
• Updating TV drivers.
• Turn off/on both devices while connected.
• Called support for both MSI and VIZIO.
• Dropping specs in-game.

This is my first gaming rig but I'm generally pretty competent with this stuff. I am absolutely dumbfounded by this issue.
