Does anyone else find getting job offers more difficult as they advance in their programming career? I apply for jobs only when it's absolutely necessary.

I only look for software engineering jobs, no management or CTO work. I'm not yet fit for senior level jobs I think. But at 8 years I'm past junior level as well.
