Just got a set of Phillips SHP 9500S from newegg

*

Best 65$CAD i have spent in awhile. They are my first set of open backs, and after the first hour with them im fairly impressed by the way they sound. My only other set to compare these to right now are KRK kns8400's and a set of ATH-D40fs which are both closed backs so i cant give a fair comparison, but i will say there is quite a bit more soundstage on the SHP 9500S and makes for a different listening experience, equally enjoyable. I was runnning the old sets off a Presonus Audiobox until recently when i picked up a Fiio A3 portable amp, which blows the Audiobox out of the water, and am now considering a DAC/Amp setup for home listening instead of a soundcard. All of these headphones are easy to drive, if anyone has any suggestions on a good sounding reasonably priced DAC/Amp combo i am all ears! Thanks for all the solid advice you guys give out on this sub! Cheers!
