What is the overall consensus on the Flash Rebirth retcons?

In Flash Rebirth by Geoff Johns several retcons occurred like Barry's mom dying, Barry creating the Speed Force etc. I personally like Barry Allen without a dead mom, I like him as a character that just felt like doing good things for people. Also, him creating the speed force is stupid. What are your opinions?
