Did Draco really tell his father everything?

I don't even remember how many times Draco says "my father will hear about this", but I'm pretty sure that he doesn't remember everything and even if he did, why would his father listen to everything? He doesn't strike me as a loving father so Im having a hard time imagining him listening to Dracos many rants about everything. My guess is that he just said that his father would hear about it to strike fear in others and to seem cool.
