Q for Juicy Jamie
Hey Zammit, Jamie and Adam, loving the show. Your combination of Jamie's PT banter and optimism vs adam's love of booze and chocolate has gotten me back into the running habit after several months off.
While I was slacking, I put on a little weight, which I am now trying to lose. I am eating good foods - mostly chicken and veggies - but I'm never sure about portion size. I am hoping to avoid having to calculate the calories of everything I eat, and instead know that if my meal is healthy, and say, fits into a certain bowl, I know I'm good to go. If I eat until I am not hungry, I will never stop eating - even using tricks like pausing betweeen each bite, drinking lots of water etc.
I've seen plenty of things online that say "a portion of meat is the size of your palm" etc, but nothing that talks about it at the meal level. If left to my own devices i would simply have a portion of everything and eat too much.
Is there a simple volume or weight based rule I can follow?
Thanks guys!!
Finally, I have no idea who the hell came up with doing a gym podcast given the rest of your usual topics, but honestly...it shouldn't work but it really really does. Love it.
