To upgrade weapons for vanduul swarm

So I'm going to chang my sabre comet load out to try and complete vanduul swarm in multi-player. I don't want to purchase weapons in voyager direct after hearing that's not a good thing to do. So how do I go about getting lasers for the comet, mounting them, then using it in AC?
