[No Spoilers] I have a question about my download of The Walking Dead

So a few weeks ago I saw that The Walking Dead season 3 had just come out. I went to download the first episode, and to my surprise it was free! I thought it was just a nice gesture from telltale, as the second episode had come out the same day. However, I just got to playing it today, and when I booted up the game a window popped up that told me to enjoy my trial. I found this weird but just closed it. I beat episode one over the next hour, and went I went to buy episode 2, it said that I had already purchased the season pass? I thought it was just a weird glitch and I lucked out by getting the whole season free, but when I went to download it, an error message popped up. So I guess my question is, how do I download/ purchase it?
