I edged... should I orgasm?

Will I ever be fully healed? I edged.... is that like a scar that will stick until I orgasm? PS: Im not like havng an urge to orgasm, this all happened yesterday, but do I have to orgasm in order to achieve a full recovery or will quitting pmo right now still have that full recovery?
