Is Undertale a good game for a beginning video gamer?

I loved Undertale to bits and pieces. One of they greatest things about it was how it took the typical tropes from RPGs/JRPGs and put a unique sort of twist on them.

A friend of mine is extremely new to video games. I've only made her try a few splitscreen games with me, and so far she's like them all. But she's never tried an RPG of any type before.

Would recommending and making her play Undertale be a good suggestion? Will it still fit right in with a new Video Gamer? Or would it be better to start her off with other RPGs/other video games so she appreciates Undertale more later on maybe (though I'm not too sure if she'll be interested in typical RPGs/JRPGs anytime soon..).

P.S. If Undertale is a no no, can is there any other RPGs/JRPGs to get her started before Undertale (preferably something light)?

P.P.S. My friend is 20 years old, just in case anyone is thinking I'm asking suggestions for a relatively younger person.
