Need help picking a new lathe.

As the title implies I am upgrading from my first lathe (delta 46-715). I have been saving money from birthdays and this Christmas just asked for money towards a lathe. I realize that in typing this I sound like a 12 year old but in fact I am 32, just lucky to still receive cash for holidays. Anyways, I have $1100 saved up and am hoping to be able to get something new for 1500 or so.

In going through the wiki and seeing the spreadsheet of lathes I have kind of narrowed it down to the grizzly G0766. I really would like electronic variable speed but could be talked out of it if anyone has a different recommendation. I like turning bowls mainly which is why I like the 22" swing (and who wouldn't) I don't really need 22" but I would like this to be my last lathe purchase for at least 10 years.

Does anyone have this lathe? Any glaring issues I should know about? Any other lathes that I should really be considering?

I truth any lathe will be an upgrade. I am so sick of my current one I haven't even turned anything in a while. I will find the money for a more expensive one if need be but really can't go over $2000. I have been looking for nicer used lathes but in my area things are slim, like mostly old tube beds and shop smiths.

Please help me before I spend a lot of money on a bad investment.

Thanks.
