My network Is implementing Cisco ACI, where should I focus my attention, if I want to master my equipment.
As of 2 days ago, my network team has been tasked with getting up to speed on SDNs, and Cisco ACI to support a tech refresh that will be occurring midway through the year.
Mostly I just need information on what skill sets, to include programming, would benefit an SDN engineer the most.
As far as my pedigree is concerned. I am a Junior-Mid level network engineer(CCNP R&S, Firewall, CCNA Data Center), my experience is primarily with campus and data center network devices. I know that SDNs typically involve a lot of programming, so what programming languages should I look into.
What classes/Certs/Books/websites would anyone with experience with Cisco ACI, or SDN networks recommend if I really wanted to master the equipment we are bringing in. I don't mind learning programming, but should I be learning it as a priority, or as a supplement to understanding the ACI UI.
Normally I use Cisco's learning network, but for some reason I am unable to find much in the way of guides that explain Cisco ACI in the same detail as most of there other IOS/Management protocols. Ciscos Development network is pretty helpful, but I feel lost when almost all of the topics I see go straight into programming.
