Random string DNS queries [solved]

I am running pihole on a pi zero without any problems.

I have noticed that something made random string DNS queries, such as 'bkchfiwqs' and 'knvomeuhvshwzvd'. Usually 9-12 characters but can be longer and they come in groups of three. I was worried that it is a malware but I eventually noticed that it happens only when I start Chrome on my tablet or the network changes while Chrome is running (ie. 4G to wifi).

It turns out that Chrome makes these requests to determine if the router hijacks failed DNS queries and returns a custom (search) page instead.

I hope I can save some time for the next person noticing this.
