HELP! D750 shutter issue -- how long am I covered?
I am affected by a shutter recall. Not the one where people got flaring from the sensor, but the "Err" message recall.
I am still under warranty for a tiny bit. I have heard that this recall issue is offered indefinitely (lifetime), and I could go and get my shutter replaced in years from now? Is that true?
My D750 is nearing 2 years in age (I haven't kept track of time since I bought it). I'm Canadian, bought in Canada. The shutter count is embarrassingly low at around 3000. I get an "Err" message when I start it up and shoot at ANY shutter speed, and then no Err message after that for ~24+ hours. I have heard this becomes more and more of an issue, and will eventually start happening every few shots.
Basically I just don't want to wait up to 4 weeks to get my camera back, as well as having to drive to a depot or mail it in. I would like to live with the issue until it becomes more of an issue.
