[MANGA SPOILERS] Something odd I noticed upon a second watching of the anime.

Upon rewatching both the 1999 and 2011 versions I noticed something a bit odd about Silva's room/chamber. You'll notice a large flea-like creature that is hanging from the ceiling and has tubes coming from it. A series of tubes also go into what looks like a coffin-esque sleeping chamber for Silva.

My highly speculative theory on what this is:

This may just be a bit of macabre décor but I think that this creature is from the Dark Continent. The Zoldyck family has already been shown to have connections with the DC with Zzigg going with Netero there and back and the whole Nanika/Alluka situation. I believe that Zzigg brought back a few things from the DC and this is, in part, what gives the Zoldycks such great strength.

We know that many of the creatures in the DC are massive, making humans looks tiny. It isn't hard to imagine a DC creature that is flea-like to be the size of a large dog, much like the creature shown in the screenshots/panel. What makes this even more curious is the fact that there are tubes running from it to the ceiling and then you see tubes running from the ceiling to Silva's coffin-like chamber. These two things may not be related but that certainly could be. It isn't hard for me to imagine that Zzigg brought back specimens or artifacts from the DC in secret that could benefit the family.

The HxH world has technology but the Zoldycks seem to possess next level tech that you don't see elsewhere in the world. (Milluki's alloys, Kikyo's crazy headset/implant, Sila's bed chamber coffin thing, etc.)

I thought it was an interesting thought experiment to think of why the Zoldycks were able to stay on top for so long and if they've been utilizing DC technology the whole time thanks to Zzigg. I can't wait to see more from this DC arc!
