My worksheet table has an infinite amount of rows and I don't know how to get rid of them

As the title says my coworker copied a formula in a worksheet and now our table has over a million rows which makes scrolling impossible and the file size huge. I have tried ctrl + shift + down and deleting and then saving but nothing works, the empty cells immediately come back. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
