[Question] Any advice on where to find Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise?

I have been looking for the whole event and not even once I have even seen them on my list. I would like to know what I am doing wrong.

Edit: I should be more specific in where I'm looking. Anywhere near Woodward Ave. and Birmingham is preferred but I will check anywhere in that general area.
