My father's battle with pancreatic cancer
First off I just want to say that I am so incredibly lucky to have been granted this extra time with him. He was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer, and was given only a few months to live. Roughly three years later, he's still fighting. These past few years he's seen me transition from a depressed and troubled alcoholic, to a recovered, sober young man on the road to a happy life and I cannot be more thankful for that opportunity. He has tried all of the treatments available to him, with initial success, and then the tolerance decreasing it's effectiveness. We've recently had to resort to phase one and phase two study drugs. His most recent CT scan came back with evidence of growth and new tumors on his liver. I'm 22 years old and I'm terrified.
I just wanted to reach out to this community to ask for any advice. Are there any obscure treatments that have yielded some success? How effective are CBDs, and does anybody know the dosage information? How can I be more helpful and bring something to the table that might be able to help him? I'm getting desperate. Thank you in advance.
