New Update Messing With Video Performance? (Also darker/shader)

So my friends and I are getting large FPS drops when we run our GR 75 runs. The frames drop like crazy and really stutter. I'm using a 1070 and my brother is on a 1080. His computer runs the game fine, mine does not. My build is fine. I'm guessing it has to do with this below:

My friends and I use the medium filter medium darken. Unfortunately it stopped working this patch. Even reinstalling the filter doesn't help. It still works on my brothers PC though, why would that be? I'd like any help I can get as we were crushing GR 75 and that's a new high for us, even with low frames. Thanks for the help!
