A reflection and thank you after an impulse solo travel adventure!
Hello!
I was a person who bought round trip tickets to lisbon with less than 2 weeks to prepare. My total journey was a month, and I have to say, this was one of the best experiences of my life. I was a little nervous about the amount of time I had to plan things, book things, and study the general areas I was visiting but that all left the door when I arrived.
I did a little planning involving my first couple days of accommodation as well as sights to see but I have to say that much of my decision making was influenced by the people around me. I had a rough itinerary of where I was to go, but had really no idea when or where I was going from place to place. I understand this isn't for everybody, but the freedom of choice it gave me beat out all my nerves.
I want to thoroughly thank r/solotravel for ALL of its help and everyone who was encouraging and willing to give me advice for my journey.
With great thanks,
