[NXT SPOILERS] NXT Taping 01/05/17 Megathread

NSFW

Pre-Show just started

dark match: Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford defeat Adrian Jaoude & Cezar Bononi

January 11th

Billie and Peyton attacked Asuka in the parking lot before the show, dumped a drink on her and left her in a heap
Billie Kay & Peyton Royce defeat Macey Estrella & Mary Dobson
Royce says they are the most dominant force in the division and the title belongs to them, Asuka runs out but gets beat down, Nikki Cross runs out to make the save, Cross then lays her out with a missile dropkick
Elias Sampson beats Jonathan Cruz of Los Ben Dejos in ~5 minutes
Andrade Cien Almas vs. Oney Lorcan, Cien gets his win back after the Osaka show with a great new DDT finisher
Almas gets interviewed by Dasha afterwards, cuts a heated promo in broken English, crowd chants "que?", basically says 2017 is his year and Lorcan was just first on his list
DIY vs. The Revival for the tag titles. Winners go to San Antonio facing Authors of Pain (guess their match at the end of last taping was a dark match); both teams are over big as babyfaces in Full Sail but Revival don't acknowledging it; HHH watching the match very closely, match is getting pretty wild after 16 minutes which results into "This is awesome" chants
DIY retain the titles after ~17 minutes, "just had another god damn classic, good god" "reaaaaalllllyyyyy good fucking match"
Ellering comes out on the stage, Authors run in through the crowd and destroy DIY. Powerbomb spot sans powerbombing one guy onto the other

January 18th

SAnitY with Nikki Cross in action beats an unnamed lady (aka Kennadi Brink) with a fisherman's neckbreaker in a squash match
Rodrick Strong (with new music) defeats Steve Cutler in ~4 minutes with a running kick, Roddy doesn't care what Almas had to say about him, Roddy is here for the NXT Title; so probably Roddy/Andrade at Takeover
Tye Dillinger out, doesn't do his "10" schtick, he ended 2016 with a huge question mark, there are only so many times you can let down the people, Tye doesn't know if he has it anymore; dueling "Royal Rumble" and "Number 10" chants
Tye questions if he is still a Perfect 10, out comes SAnitY, Eric Young said Tye never had it, but he could have it, Tye could have everything with some guidance and the right choices and offer him a spot, Alexander Wolfe offers Tye a jacket, Tye takes it and throws it down; Young says the right decision can feel wrong sometimes, invites him again to do it their way, he just has to choose but EY is not asking, he's ordering
Tye flashes 10 fingers in Young's face and lays him out, only to get speared by Damo who comes out of the crowd, Damo hits a Ulster Plantation/One Winged Angel on Tye, Damo then accepts the jacket from Young and joins SAnitY
Ember Moon vs. Liv Morgan (with new gear), Liv Morgan took a horrible bump over the top rope to the floor, Ember wins with the O-Face after ~5 minutes, decent match, both shook hands before and after the match
Battle of the Entrances: Contract signing for San Antonio with Nakamura and Roode; Roode downplays Nakamura's career accomplishments, says from the first time he saw Nakamura in NXT... he thought Nakamura had a catchy theme song; Nakamura says he likes Bobby Roode because he looks like a Shiba Inu (credit to u/ackinsocraycray) Wow. Much Glorious. So Victorious., no violence, Nak promises to take off Roode's head; segment went way too long (like 12 minutes) and nothing really happened but the crowd ate it up
Shinsuke marking out when he saw a Nakumara bear [1] [2]

(Again[?]) weird energy in the crowd. It's not bad, it's just the crowd can't seem to get going except in a few moments.

January 25th

Mandy Rose vs. Aliyah, Mandy's theme is a knockoff "Pour Some Sugar on Me", another picture just for Corey Graves, Aliyah won with a submission in a very bad ~6 minute match that felt like 15-20 minutes -- possibly dark
No Way Jose defeats Kona Reeves with a pop-up punch, The Drifter comes out to nuclear heat to interrupt Jose's celebration with a song * yawn *
Likely dark: Eric Young beats Chris Atkins in a quick match, seems like the crowd gets more and more frustrated with the quality of the taping
Either Dillinger/EY or Dillinger/Damo at Takeover, they didn't quite make it clear, seems like Tye can choose his opponent
TM61 defeat The Revival in ~7 minutes via roll up, Revival beat the shit out of TM61 after the match (Scott Dawson put on some weight of the holidays)
Medical professionals check on Shane Thorne's leg after the attack, looks like a "serious" injury, so probably no rematch at Takeover
Announcement by Regal: Asuka/Nikki Cross/Billie Kay/Peyton Royce at Takeover
Peyton & Billie out to speak, then Nikki, Asuka runs out and attacks Peyton & Billie, Asuka & Nikki have a stare down, fight off Billie & Peyton, stare down again, then male security guards come out and gets beat up by Asuka & Nikki
After all the security guards are dispatched, Asuka nails a spin kick on Nikki; as Asuka is leaving Nikki dives from the top rope to the floor on Asuka and security guards
Tajiri & Nakamura vs. Samoa Joe & Roode, very loud Shiba Inu chants for Roode, Nakamura pins Joe with the Kinshasa. Very fun. (Shane O'Mac watches from the shadows)
Chris Hero just came out, showed Nakamura his elbow, and left, tron said Kassius Ohno [Video 1] [Video 2]

And that's the end.

Reports indicate a baaad overall taping. Good tag in the first show, exciting ending, and nothing else at all.

HHH & Hero

Takeover matches (as far as I can tell)

Nakamura / Roode
Asuka / Nikki Cross / Billie Kay / Peyton Royce
DIY / Authors of Pain
Dillinger / Eric Young or Dillinger / Damo
Rodrick Strong / Andrade
Drifter / No Way Jose
