[META] Scams

There has been an increase in scams in the community. Mainly people getting scammed because they didn't wait for a user to follow the rules.

People must have a verification photo that is time stamped. Don't wait for one in PM. That just means they don't want the mods to see the photo.

You should be wary of time stamps that are more than a couple days old (honestly I ask for a new time stamp with every purchase I make)

If an item is too cheap to be true, it probably is.

Go with your gut, it will be right most of the time. If it tells you to hesitate, then something must be fucky.

Use paypal, goods n services. I prefer to have people invoice me. They can send me the invoice, with return policy and description of the goods. This includes the item name, the wear on the item, included accessories, and who is doing the transaction (for ex. u/therandomdude69 -> u/bobadfakjdshf

Just because a seller is verified here, doesn't mean they are trustworthy. Don't use Friends & family, or BTC, or Venmo.
