/r/Nerdcubed subreddit and community engagement ideas.
Based on yesterday's town hall meeting, I came up with some ideas for community activities that I think could help improve the community side of Nerd^3. Most of these would most likely be a sticky post on a given day each week encouraging engagement week after week. I would love to hear opinions on doing these and if anyone would be interested.
Free Talk Day This would be a talk about anything and does not have to be related to Dan or the N^3 crew so the community members can interact with each other. One great example is over at r/CowChop : https://www.reddit.com/r/CowChop/comments/4i5hmt/free_talk_friday/
Fan Art Day A day for fans to post fan art and other community content that the sub doesn't really have right now (This may require u/Mattphobia to alter his rules on fan art a little). No rewards, No harsh criticism, just a chance for fans to make art about a channel they like. Maybe even some input from u/Mr_Rebecca since she's so awesome with this kind of stuff.
Weekly Re-watch A post once or twice a week for discussion about an old episode encouraging fans to re-watch old episodes and get newer fans in on the fun. Everyone gets to remember all the old fun moments and possibly discuss the game in a civil manner.
Question Thread A weekly post for fans to ask each other questions about Nerd^3 content like what episode that joke was on or what Dan or Matt's opinions are on a specific game. N^3 crew expanded content
Community Hangouts With an emphasis on getting community to act as community, posts could be made to allow for easier ways for fans to interact with each other. This could be used to allow for game meet-ups and events with other community members even without Dan. If you want to just hang out and play Battlefield One online and chat, why not come hang out with other community members. Who knows, you may even make a friend.
