[NEWS] Fitzgerald Slammed for Comments on the High Andes Republic Arms Dealing Crisis

Many members of the National Delegation are now calling for Governor Fitzgerald's resignation from both the governorship of Superior and Republican nomination for Chancellor following his comments about the High Andes Republic yesterday morning on the radio program, The Republic Report.

The High Andes Republic announced a contract with the Orderly Stratocracy of Heaven late last year, a nation with which most North American states are currently at war. Diplomats have spent the last month discussing possible ways in which the HAR can be dissuaded from going through with this deal, and an offer was made to purchase these ships at 5% above the cost offered to OSH, but declined by diplomats from the High Andes Republic and Ancora Company.

When asked how he would deal with the situation, Fitzgerald stated, "Look, diplomacy is all about giving people what they want. And the Andes people are a bunch of faggots, so what do faggots want? A good ass fucking, and I'll sure as hell give that to them."

Politicians across the aisle were quick to condemn Fitzgerald, with Vice-Chancellor Anderson calling the comments "deeply homophobic," and Majority Leader Masum stating that Fitzgerald's comments lacked, "the tact and decency necessary to represent the Republic on an international scale."

Most pollsters are currently showing Chancellor Preiss winning reelection by upwards of 15% this year, and his campaign manager has stated that they are shifting focus away from cities and toward more Southern regions of the country.
