Jogging for hours during a migraine attack
I know exercise can trigger migraine but I did find that long time jogging during a migraine for many miles can have similar effect of ending migraine as triptans for me.
I used to take way too many triptans , like one every two days, but decided to quit taking them after going on an experimental treatment with imunuglobulins. That treatment kept me migraine free for nearely several months, but than they did return to like once or a twice a week.
However I decided to not touch triptans again, and just go with my dogs to jog. Sometimes a mile or two is enough, but today it took like 6 miles of jogging to nearely completely eliminate a severe headache, though not other symptoms of migraine like nausea. Still, it has been a remarkable remedy for me.
And even though, my feet can get raw from all the jogging, that pain doesn't compare with migraines. I guess natural endorphins released during a prolonged jogging can do wonders for an intense pain.
