The Chuvelki
"The Miasma will see us through another day.” -Lockjaw, Chuvelki Warlord
The Chuvelki are a series of loosely affiliated Kera’Shae pirate groups, typically harassing Kera’Shae trade vessels.
The Chuvelki usually have cybernetic enhancements, using them to their full advantage due to their lack of ties to any real nations. The United Trade Consensus allows only medical replacements utilizing cybernetics, whereas the Qurunesi allow no cybernetics whatsoever.
This disdain shown towards cybernetics usually drives those who have cancer or other life-ending diseases to Chuvelki pirateers, who assist them- if they accept them into their crew, of course.
As they typically aren’t affiliated with any major entities, they employ the usage of not only cybernetics but performance enhancing drugs. This includes the Miasma, a rage-inducing, strength-increasing gas found on the Kera’Shae homeworld.
Some of the better known groups of Chuvelki would include the Brotherhood of Broken Silence, led by Grimseer.
Typically hiding in the shadows, they refuse to call themselves pirates, instead seeing themselves as liberators.
They often don an upside down purple triangle on their equipment, a symbol meaning “freedom.”
Lockjaw’s Crew, named after their infamous leader, operate mostly out of the Jovian Colonies.
While they conduct supply raids on the UTC caravans for their much-needed Miasma, they are more likely to attack Jovian Colonists.
Lockjaw’s Crew typically wears the symbol of a simple Kera’Shae Head, with a savage look and red paint.
The Turgis Raiders, operating closer to the Asteroid Belt, are responsible for not only numerous raids on the Untied Trade Consensus tradeships, but UN and Jovian vessels as well. Typically adorn a cyan appearance. Their leadership is unknown.
