I'm a semi new player coming from ow and league as previous experience.
I've been building stormcrown and contrapion and then full tank. Should i be skipping stormcrown for getting contrapion faster? Is the extra damage to neutrals even worth it?
I play mainly Catherine.

fountain, contrap, cruci (switch between either those 2 depending on how badly/good your team is performing e.g koshka on enemy team? cruci then contrap), war threads, stormcrown and last item is all depending i guess
maybe nullwave? i only buy nullwave on ardan but i buy sorrow on lance for last item (i mean, more dmg) since his CC is really excellent
I was called out as a troll for using Poisoned Shiv on Lyra when people build sorrow blade on Lance. Hypocrisy at it best
Because Poisoned Shiv is a shit item on Lyra (with essentially no base WP damage and unless the enemy team has significant heals, no reason to buy PS) and Sorrowblade is downright scary on Lance (his Impale has brutal weapon damage and can singlehandedly turn fights in his favor).
It's not hypocrisy, it's situational awareness.
Lance WP Jungle with 2 TM's and an SB is god-tier if you can land your Impale. You don't even need attack speed on Lance, he is a monster.
TM isn't as good on Lance, because his Impale doesn't crit.

You should be building fountain first
I rush Atlas against Krul/Saw and build Crucible first on Lyra.
You should USUALLY build Fountain first but it's wrong to say it's ALWAYS rushed.
Crucible rush on Lyra is not nearly as reliable as Fountain.
You can make a case for Atlas rush if the enemy is running WP SAW + Adagio for extreme push, but, again, less reliable than Fountain.
Fountain should always be your first item. Then contraption or stormcrown is all situational.
If your opponents are invasive or there are stealth heroes. Go for contraption first. Then a stormcrown.
If you wanna rush your opponents. Then stormcrown.
But rmb if there is a Phinn, adagio or any CC opponents. A crucible is still viable.
You can always get a stormguard banner for slight DPS early game while farming other stuff.
I go for CD Catherine most of the time. But until then next patch CD cath is mainly gone *hur hur.
